Hi,

I am a beginner for M2M.

Our metamodel is defined using XSD. We generate ECore and genmodel from our XSD. The instances of our metamodel will generate files such as xyz.mymodel.

I am trying to transform MyModel (*.mymodel) to YourModel(*.yourmodel).

I defined a simple transformation (MyModel2YourModel.qvto) as follows:

I defined a run configuration, I would like to point the IN 'Model URI' to the abc.mymodel file that I copied into the 'model' folder in my project.

This is not being accepted and the run configuration always expect a file with extension .xmi.

Your guidance would be helpful.

Note: I have attached .qvto file.

Thank you,
Sudarsan

Hi

Your comments don't correlate with what I experience and since you only
summarize what you are trying to do it is not possible to tell where you
are going wronmg/the tool is getting confused. I quite happily use
arbitrary extensions.

The SimpleUML to RDB example provided with QVTo is a very helpful and
almost mandatory starting point.

If that doesn't help, please post your transformation, your
..settings/org.eclipse.m2m.qvt.oml.mmodel.urimap and your lauch
configuration.

Regards

Ed Willink
