We have defined some JPA Platforms. Not all of them will apply to every Target Runtime.

In the JPA Facet page of the New JPA Project Wizard there is a drop-down box for JPA Platform. Is there a way to filter out the platforms that will not apply to the selected Target Runtime? Also is there a way to set the default JPA Platform in the wizard based on the Target Runtime?

Thanks!

There is currently no way to filter platforms by target runtime. In most cases a JPA provider could operate in any number of runtimes, although I could see the use case for adopters to exercise greater control over this in certain cases. We should be able to add this type of functionality in a future release. The same goes for default platform. Currently you can only set one platform as default and there is no way to configure per platform.

Please enter an enhancement request for this functionality if you would like to see it added.
