Modify Header & Footer? [message #91755] Wed, 16 November 2005 19:28 Go to next message

I'm hoping that I'm just overlooking it in the developer's manual, but
how does one modify the report's header and footer? The documentation
seems to suggest that this can be done on the master page, but it isn't
quite intuitive how to do so. Help?

If you want to change the heights of the report header or footer:
1) Go to the master page (On the main menu, Page-->Layout Mode-->Master)
2) Choose General properties in the Property Editor.
3) Specify a new height for the header or footer.

If you want to specify whether the header or footer appears on all pages or
all pages except the first and last:
1) Choose Header/Footer properties in the Property Editor
2) Select the options you want.

If you want to add elements to the header or footer, you can drag any of the
auto text items from the palette and drop into the header/footer. Or you can
insert a text element, and type your own text.

Hope this helps.

Hmmm ... I see that I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm
currently using a custom version of 1.0.1 that has been modified to
support images and custom fonts within the PDF. I'd like to have the
page numbering capability that 2.0M2 supports but the 2.0M2 runs with
too many assertions and uncaught exceptions at runtime.

For the time being, I'll be willing to sacrifice page numbers until 2.0
becomes stable. Is the 2.0 release candidate still on schedule for the
5 December 2005?
