JVMTI (New Java Profiler) on Solaris? [message #86787]

it lists the instructions for Windows and Linux. But there is no
instructions for Solaris - is this because there is no version of the New
Java Profiler (jvmti)?

There is no JVMTI support on Solaris, but JVMPI is support on Solaris. You
can try using JVMPI instead.

Releases" page, and couldn't see any reference to JVMPI. Perhaps I'm

to download the Solaris version of the Agent Controller listed on our

applications. It seems like you're interested in the log monitoring
aspect of TPTP. You can still use the Agent Controller to remotely import
a log file from your Solaris machine to your machine running the
workbench, but this doesn't make use of the JVMPI agent in any way.

Sorry for the confusion, I thought that I needed JVMTI to create the
logfile, I didn't realise that the Agent Controller can do it as well.

I think the Getting Started Guide at:
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/installguide/agen tcontroller_42/solaris_sparc/getting_started.html
has all the instructions that I need to set up the Agent Controller on
Solaris.

Once I have the trace log file, I'll import that into Eclipse. That should
sort me out.
