Hi Jan,
There are a few ways to get EDT, as described on the EDT Download page. http://eclipse.org/edt/#download
For folks that don't already have Eclipse, we recommend the All-in-one package which includes the Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers 3.7 and the EDT plugins.
For folks that have Eclipse for Java EE Developers 3.6 or 3.7 (note, the Java EE package of Eclipse is required), you can use "Install New Software" option from the Help menu to add the EDT update site http://download.eclipse.org/edt/updates/1.0.
Nightly builds are intended for contributors and extenders (and other people on the bleeding edge of EDT) more than users. The update site for the nightly builds is http://download.eclipse.org/edt/updates/nightly.
Theresa
