No property editor [message #82785] Tue, 08 March 2005 13:35 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I'm trying to launch the visual editor using the latest of everything (I
think, just used the update utility) on Version: 3.1.0
Build id: I20050219-1500

It is bombing out on starting the property editor

This is what the log is showing me:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.ve.java.core 4 0 2005-03-08 11:01:20.78
!MESSAGE Exception thrown.
!STACK 0
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.eclipse.ui.internal.commands.Command

at
org.eclipse.swt.widgets.TypedListener.handleEvent(TypedListe ner.java:108)

.....

Anyone know where to get the class I seem to be missing?

The released code (the code that is available through the update
manager) does not work on 3.1, it only works on 3.0.1. We are in the
process of getting a developement build out there that does work on 3.1.
The current nightly build kinda works but there are bugs and problems
with it.

Ok. Thanks for the info.

Have you gotten this and webtools to work at the same time?
I was using 3.1 because I thought webtools needed it.
