I'm just getting started with eclipse and PHP. I was good with websphere 5
two years ago when I did java, and eclipse version 3.4.1 which I just
installed is similar. I read up on the different PHP IDEs available and
decided to use PDT with eclipse. I'm anxious to get proficient in PHP.
I can't get past an error that keeps popping up that says: 'Selection Job
title' has encountered a problem. I did a google search for fixes. One fix
said to download and install a different DTK something or other. I tried
that, though the version appeared to be a year older than the one I have.
I was unable to unzip due to a name conflict in one of the folders.
Windows treats upper and lower case file names the same, Linux does not.
The package was probably made with linux.
The error I'm getting is:
An internal error occurred during: "Selection Job titile".
org.eclipse.dltk.core.SourceParserUtil.getModuleDeclaration( Lorg/eclipse/dltk/core/ISourceModule;)Lorg/eclipse/dltk/ast/ declarations/ModuleDeclaration;
Looking at the Software and Updates, Installed Software window it says I
have the following installed:
org.eclipse.dltk.core.feature.group
version 0.95.1.v20080626-2043-0EEJ6E9IgKLhLZW8AKz0uq5
I clicked around and do not see where I have
org.eclipse.dltk.core.SourceParserUtil installed, which is what the error
refers to.
I downloaded and updated with everything that seemed appropriate to do
PHP, using links on the nightly build page.
Another fix I read said to click the little triangle in the PHP Explorer,
which is the View menu, and in Package Presentation choose Hierarchical. I
did that and it makes no difference.
I don't have a newsreader at my job, though I can read the web. I'll
somehow find this thread I'm making and see what suggestions are made.
Thanks
