PDT - 'An internal error occured during Selection Job titile' [message #78887] Thu, 21 August 2008 21:00 Go to next message

Hi,
I thought everything was working with PDT. I had just installed PDT using
the Update MAnager and my local directory where I downloaded the
integration build.
I opened the PHP perspective and created a new project by rt clicking in
the
PHP explorer. Then I tried to add a new file to the project by rt clicking
on the project and and choosing new PHP file. This is when I got the
following error
message:

An internal error has occured during "Selection Job titile"
org.eclipse.dltk.core.SourceParserUtil.getModuleDeclaration. (Lorg/eclipsedltk.ast/declarations/ModuleDeclaration;

I would definitely appreciate any info I can get on what might be causing
this.
Thanks,

Adam Posner

THanks for the link. I downloaded this file from there:

dltk-core-sdk-S-1.0M1-200808150915-incubation.zip

and unzipped it as per the directions in the dropins folder.
Unfortunately the problem still persists. Anything else I could try? Thanks

Can somebody give me a link to which build fixes this problem ?
I'm thinking maybe I didn't downLoad the right one.
I downloaded the stable build from here:

http://download.eclipse.org/technology/dltk/downloads/drops/ R1.0/S-1.0M1-200808150915/

I downloaded the 'Core frameworks' 'SDK download' 9.7 mb.

So maybe this was not the right one. Can somebody tell me because it says
this bug was fixed

Maybe you didn't install it correctly, or you didn't remove an earlier
version first which is conflicting.

The install instructions (http://wiki.eclipse.org/PDT/Installation)
worked the last time I tried them.

The PDT integration build is really buggy. Don't use it. Use the nightlies
instead.

I ran into this error at first, too.
With these versions I fixed my problem:

PDT: 2.0.0 N20080823
DLT Core: 0.95.0.v20080716
DLT RDS: 0.95.0.v20080623

I fixed this error like this. Downloaded latest integration build of DLTK
Core and DLTK RSE from
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/dltk/downloads/

And downloaded last nightly build of PDT from
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/pdt/downloads/

Then uninstalled DLTK Core, DLTK RSE and PDT from Eclipse, restarted
Eclipse, added local repository of extracted just downloded archives and
installed them. Everything works.

Files I used:
dltk-core-I-I200809020446-200809020446-incubation.zip
dltk-rse-I-I200809020446-200809020446-incubation.zip
org.eclipse.php_feature-N20080902.zip
