Several of our Ubuntu desktops are experiencing Eclipse crashes when
attempting to run the BIRT Report View.

Just filed bugzilla
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=359278

Anyone else seeing this problem?

thanks,
John

Yes I have exactly the same situation. When clicking on the preview tab eclipse crashes.
Maybe it is similar to this description:
http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/index.php/topic/22743-birt-designer-crashes-when-prevewingrunning-in-embedded-web-browser/

but the option -Dorg.jboss.tools.vpe.loadxulrunner=false did not solve the problem for me.
