Problem:
UI oddities in various parts of eclipse, such as the new project dialog
box tree: cannot expand a folder option and then click on the project type
-- the UI freezes. I must filter project types by typing in the filter
box, "PHP" and then choose PHP Project.
more severe problem: Window > Preferences > General > Keys dialog is
completely non-functional. It shows buttons and their labels and labels on
the other controls but not the actual list of actions to assign shortcut
keys to. When first opening the dialog, it freezes a little as if it's
thinking about loading the action list, but then unfreezes and does
nothing.
Attempted solutions:
- Reinstalled JRE6rev7 three times, nothing
- Uninstalled JRE6rev7 and installed JRE 5 rev 12, no results.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
