Hi all,

Is there any exiting tool that help converting a jet template into an acceleo template?

Best regards,

Max

Hi,

Since JET and Acceleo are template based generator, it is pretty straightforward to go from one to the other. You can quickly convert a template with a simple "search and replace". We also have a automatic system to realize the conversion of JET templates to Acceleo templates easily but it is not publicly available right now but it could be easily.

Hi Stephane

I would like to add direct generation of Java from OCL in an Indigo+0.5
release, so that OCL can be used by OCL tooling with much reduced
efficiency concerns. This requires genmodel integration, which probably
means JET template enhancement.

It would be really good if the EMF, UML2 templates could be officially
migrated to Acceleo so that those of us who regard JET as a scary
dinosaur can use a friendly monster instead.

Regards

Well, EEF 1.0 is providing an Acceleo based EMF generation for EMF Edit and EMF Editor with its Indigo release. Model and Tests will come later but the work is already in progress.

I don't suppose that your converter can handle JET2... and if so how nicely do I need to say please to get my hands on it for an afternoon?

I have a fairly large (and fairly time sensitive) project using JET2 that I ran into some roadblocks and want to convert it to Acceleo. It's proving problematic however as there's no simple find/replace for the control nodes from JET2 that I've seen.
