Disabling Welcome Dialog (and others) for testing [message #67232] Thu, 20 April 2006 19:15

Hi list,

First, apologies if this is not in the right place.

I'm using Abbot to test an Eclipse plugin. When launched from PDE in
eclipse, the Welcome Dialog is suppressed. Also, I disable the "Confirm
Enablement" setting, so certain popup dialogs don't appear. This also
works from PDE.

Now I'm trying to run my tests using the eclipse-test-framework. When
running my ant file, the Welcome screen isn't suppressed, and the Confirm
Enablement option doesn't take effect. It's the same exact code, and it is
being executed in both situations. I think the difference lies in the way
PDE versus the eclipse test framework is launched, but I'm unfamiliar with
how either does its work. Can anyone shed some light on the situation, or
at least help me find where to look?

Thanks,
Andrew Rader
