Is it possible to create a special type of connection that can connect to another connection?

Attached is a picture that visualizes the desired scenario.

Graphiti supports to attach connections to other connections in its newest
version (0.8.0 for Eclipse Indigo, M7 available). What happens in fact is
that after attaching the other connection is split into two connections and
a shape is inserted for the connection (can also be just 1 px or invisible).

I'm not sure though if creating exactly the impression on the image you
attached is possible; the gap could be a problem.

For details on this new feature see
http://www.eclipse.org/graphiti/pages/whats-new.html, in section M6
"Connections on Connections".

Works fine with 0.8 RC1 Smile
Thanks!

BTW: the example code is in the tests folder, not on the examples folder as described on the newsworthy webpage. The example code is here:
org.eclipse.gmp/org.eclipse.gmp.graphiti/tests/org.eclipse.graphiti.testtool.sketch
in there look for the class AbstractSketchCreateSimpleConnectionFeature

you can also create a connection decorator with a shape for example an ellipse,
add an anchor to ellipse. And connect connection to that anchor
