Hello Virgo users

We are are facing slow JSP compilation on virgo. Our project uses tiles,
JSP and JSTL - more or less the same setup as webapps created with roo,
but configured as an OSGi web bundle. The JSP pages are very, very basic
and should compile in fractions of a second. Sometimes a JSP takes up to
10 seconds to compile.

Some observations:
* The very first page that is called after a fresh deployment takes
quite long to compile. I think this is because the tiles layout pages
have to be compiled as well
* After a redeployment of the web bundle, the compilation times get much
worse
* I have the feeling that Virgo 2.1 compiles the JSPs faster, but I have
no hard evidence

Do you have similar effects or some idea what could cause this slow JSP
compilation? Is there a way to "profile" JSP compilation to identify the
part that makes it slow?

BTW I already opened a bug for this issue:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=343346

Thanks for your help,
James
