Don't you think that labels with branch names are too short?
There is max 12 characters.

For me it is serious problem.
I have a lot of branches and it is hard to identity them
I need to use external tools (Git Gui or Got Extensions)
It would be great to have parameter in configuration "Max characters of label in history view".

Since 2011-03-03 you can see the whole branch name in the tooltip when you
hover the label with the mouse. This is available in the nightly build and
in the next release 0.12 coming soon.

Do you think that is sufficient or do you prefer a preference with the
length of the label?

I think that it would be more convenient to configure the lenght.
If it is low - cost modeification, it would be nice.

But tooltip functionally is enough.
