How do I map into a model which serializes a value as an element instead of an attribute.

I understand how this could work with EMF annotations and generated code, but could it work with just qvto without generated code? That is, I have a qvto run configuration with the input model and output model and there is no code generated for either model.

instead of <element value='x'/> i need to create <element>x</element>
