The visual designer has been and remains broken on Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit.
It was broken on 32 bit 10.10 and 10.04 and I think 9.10.

Now when generating a new project with the latest:

eclipse-e4-SDK-incubation-0.11M4a-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz

4 errors are being generated. Try it. At least in the past
there were no errors just a weird loop in the designer that
rendered it useless.

There are a lot of developers worldwide who develop in Eclipse
on Ubuntu.

Hi,

When you talk about errors you are referring to compile errors in the
generated Java-Code by the wizard then this is [1]?

I haven't tried the Visual Designer stuff since a long time but I've
ever made it to run myself and so I suggested [2] but as you see from
the thread Yves says he fixed the problems but I didn't had time to come
back to this.

Tom
