Greetings:

I am trying to get at the eclipse environment's console, so that I can call up the OSGi framework. I am using Helios.

According to instructions, you start up the OSGi console by entering:

eclipse.exe -console

Unfortunately, when I type this in from the command line, I do get an OSGi prompt, but the IDE actually comes up, as well! Shutting down the IDE causes the console to exit, as well. This is especially bad behavior since I am seeking to demo an Equinox- style application.

Is this supposed to work that way, or have I found a bug in the console? If not, is there any way to get a console without the IDE coming up???
