hey all,

iŽm looking right now for over 1 hour for a nebula download link but canŽt
find any. I found cvs or sn links which didnŽt work for me (i always get
an Connection timeout, maybe because of a firewall or the proxy which is
used here) but anyway iŽm wondering why not simply put an jar download
link on the page??? It would be great if anyone can help me finding a
simple download link for the nebula project.

Hi,

Wilhelm the short answer is that we don't have a automated build at the
moment and the .jar we had up have been out-dated and didn't reflected
the current development state. They also didn't comfored to the
Parallel-IP we need to follow currently.

We are working on getting an automated build up and running but it's not
ready for primetime. To get access to CVS behind a firewal take a look
at the following howto [1].

Thanks, i already tried your howto (of course i read the discussion
before) but it didnt worked for me :-( Nevertheless i found a site where i
could download it.
At least, i wondering why you dont provide the last version of nebula? I
think an old version is better than no version or are there any problems?

If anyone interested i can post the download link.

Hi,

Well there are legal issues with the .jar's because they don't follow
the IP-rules we need to follow!

We know that all this is not a satisfying situation but none of the
Nebula-Committers is payed for doing the work they do. This is not an
excuse but the only thing I can tell you.

I'm working on a automated build but didn't finished because of time
constraints.

Hey Tom,

ok i didnŽt know about the legal issues. Maybe it would be useful to give
a little information about that on the nebula side, otherwise people like
me searching searching searching and go crazy because they didnt find the
download ;-) Thats why my message maybe sound a little bit annoying,
anyway i appreciate what you and the other nebula developers do. The
widgets are great stuff, thats also a reason why i missed the download so
much ;-)
So long.

sounds like a good idea... I put up a banner note regarding this issue.
it's not particularly pretty, but it's not planned to be up for long :)

Hey,
i just visited the nebula site and saw your banner. Great stuff,
especially the pink design is quite nice and conspicuous ;-)
Thanks a lot, itŽs always good to see that suggestions are accepted and
implement so fast. Go on like that!
