All,
In looking at our VE 1.1 plan, we really want to get to some of our
proposed items, especially "Evolve Rich Client Platform Support."
Particularly, we want to be able to support the following Eclipse RCP
features in VE 1.1:
- Editing SWT wrapper objects like ViewPart (Now a Committed plan item)
- Editing JFace TableViewer, TreeViewer, etc. (A much-desired proposed
plan item)
In order to fit this into our VE 1.1 release, we will need to slip our
schedule somewhat.
In our plan document, we announced the following schedule for our
remaining milestones:
* Friday Apr. 1, 2005 - Milestone 2 (1.1 M2) - stable build
* Friday May 13, 2005 - Milestone 3 (1.1 M3) - stable build
Our new schedule will be:
* Monday Apr 18, 2005 - Milestone 2 (1.1 M2) - stable build
* Monday May 30, 2005 - Milestone 3 (1.1 M3) - stable build
In order to address any late regressions, we expect to release VE 1.1
approximately two weeks after Eclipse 3.1 is released.
I will update the plan document with this new information.
