Based on the work of:

http://gilles.frattini.free.fr/wordpress/index.php?p=3 (can't find the
author's name..?)

I installed jamvm and gnu classpath. I then copied the Equinox and
relevent ECF jars for Datashare to the 770. Running Equinox produced this:

http://buglabs.net/tmp/nokia%20770%20-%20osgi%20snap.jpg

Could this be the smallest ECF server ever?!? It's also interesting to
note this is all running on an ARM CPU with 64 mb of storage.

Does anyone have any experiences to share in running ECF (or Equinox) in
an embedded context?

Hi Ken, I did some hacking several months ago with eRCP
(http://www.eclipse.org/ercp) and got basic ECF working and wrote a
really really simple UI to query the list of providers. I was going to
propose a subproject that integrates ECF with eRCP to bring ECF to the
embedded space ;) However, I had no time to pursue this any further.

Cheers,

~ Chris

Chris,

Do you still have this code somewhere? I got eRCP running on my iPAQ, so
I can certainly assist with bringing ECF to the embedded space. If you
still have it, maybe you could commit it somewhere "hidden" like OSUOSL
since I presume the code is a little shaky and not finalized?

Regards,
Rem
