I thought I had seen this problem described somewhere, but now I can't
find it...
I'm having a problem with the Persistence Properties panel getting updated
when the database gets updated. For example, if I add a new table to my
database, or I drop and add a new schema for a table already in use, I
can't seem to refresh the Persistence Properties to represent the new
state. In the past, I think I was able to refresh this information by
"adding persistence" to the project. But, now that this has moved to the
Project->Properties panel, I can't seem to refresh it. My only workaround
at this point is to stop and re-start Eclipse.
Here's a simple scenario...
1. Fire up Eclipse
2. Show Persistence Perspective
3. Either external to Eclipse or using the Database Explorer, create a
new table called Table1.
4. Go to an Entity definition for any of your classes.
5. Select the Table pulldown. Your new table (Table1) will not be
selectable.
I've tried several options of attempting to get this list refreshed while
keeping Eclipse running and I can't find the magic sequence. If I stop
and re-start Eclipse, the table will appear.
I've had the same problem with new/updated columns for an existing table.
Thanks,
Kevin
