Hello,
Really a JavaME problem - and you you might have fixed it already - in
which case I congratulate you.
But just in case you did the same mistake as JavaME I like to remind you
that the hidden and read/only are two different attributes and one does
not imply the other. That is: just because a file is hidden does not
mean it is also read/only.
I say this because of the ".eclipseme" file. I like to set the hidden
attribute on all ".*" files. And I am not the only one: Mac OS X will do
the same (see chflag hidden [1]) when copying to removable or network
drives. As do some implementations of rsync.
With JavaME when .eclipseme is hidden then one can not change the device
type any more. With a very obsuce error message - first time it happened
to me I searched 3 days until I found out the hidden attribute was the
problem.
Regards
Martin
