The code in SVN (not yet up on the downloads site) now supports specifying a location for a population model (standard or demographic). This allows a user to have a different background birth/death rate for different regions in their models, and also to subdivide a population into different groups for different regions (e.g. ration men to women in China is different from US)
If no location is specified, the population model is assumed to be global (so it's backwards compatible). When there's an overlap, the iso level of the region is used. So a higher iso level would override a lower iso level, e.g. you can specify a different birth/death rate for California than the rest of the US.
