Hi,

I'm running windows XP. I have tried for a long time to get anything based on GMF,GMP or graphiti to compile. I installed graphiti then downloaded the demo's from cvs. Nothing seems to work.

What is the easiest way to install graphiti and compile anything? I just want to see the demo applications run.

Hi Brian,

you might try our brand-new update site at
http://download.eclipse.org/graphiti/updates/nightly (see my other posting
this morning). You can install the Graphiti framework along with the
examples from there.

To start and get familiar with the framework you can try the tutorial which
is described in the Eclipse help. Basically you can start by creating a
Graphiti sample project and inside that project a new Graphiti diagram.
Wizards for both are available under File --> New... inside the Examples
Graphiti folder.

Setting things up from CVS is a little more work. You would need to check
out all projects from the plugins and examples folders (from
dev.eclipse.org/Cvsroot/modeling/org.eclipse.gmp/org.eclipse .gmp.graphiti).
This will compile against an Eclipse Helios modeling installation. Then you
will have Graphiti available in your runtime environment.

Hope this helps.
