Hello all,

I'm new to GMF and I'm trying to learn more about how editpolicies work, both in terms of high level understanding and by looking at examples.

However, I can't seem to find any thorough documentation of how they work. I would like to know more about what the various policies do, and how to implement my own.

All of the documentation online that I have found mention them only in passing.

Here is the one example I have been trying to understand/learn from:

http://www.linuxtopia.org/online_books/eclipse_documentation /eclipse_gmf_guide/topic/org.eclipse.gmf.doc/tutorials/diagr am/eclipse_gmf_containmentOfShapes.html

Essentially what I'm trying to do is prevent containers from accepting new elements while they are collapsed. It seems to me at this point that it would be best to do this by adding an editpolicy or changing an existing one.

Cheers,
Mike
