Hello,
I would like to extract a history of all eclipse versions. I am
interested in particular in the metadata (bundles, plugins, features).
WHAT I TRIED ALREADY
1) I am aware of http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/ this
gives me all versions of Eclipse, but do not know how to extract the
desired metadata from there.
2) I have used a P2 script
eclipse -application
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.repository.mirrorApplication -source
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.6 -destination
file:/C:/temp/3.6/ -verbose -ignoreErrors
This will give me *some* metadata in content.xml (in a content.jar) but
this does not seem to contain the higher-level metadata (features and
plugins). Also I do not know how to do this for all historic versions of
Eclipse.
Any hints would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Goetz
