hi,
as the title says, i installed cdt and nothing happened. what i did:
downloaded the eclipse helios win32 zp and extracted it to c:\Program Files
started eclipse, entered http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/helios into the install new software dialog
checked main features and optional features, next, ok, agree... restart
and nothing changed. no new->project->c++, no new c++-perspective, no new c++-preferences... what did i do wrong?
maybe i just overlooked a checkbox or something like that, but i'm trying to find the problem for an hour now, but i found nothing...

Does CDT appear in the Installation Details (Help->About Eclipse)? Is there anything in the log when you start Eclipse (logfile is in $MYWORKSPACE/.metadata/.log)?

Random suggestion = move your whole eclipse folder in to c:\, not
c:\program files and see if that helps straight away.
A colleague has been having problems here with installing features and
then not having them available. I think moving eclipse out of program
files and in to the root folder has solved it (for the moment).
