After downloading eclipse-hava-helios-linux-gtk.tar.gz. I cannot install the pde from within the update manager. I get the following error:

I have these error too, just download eclipse classic and copy plugin and feature folder from classic to your current eclipse

I (always) download the minimum eclipse, in this case eclipse-platform-3.6-win32.zip and I am getting the same errors when trying to download any plugin. Very frustrating. I would hate to download a package. Any idea what this can be? I managed to find some references via Google, and it seems the same issue was present with the 3.4 release.

same here. i've downloaded eclipse-php-helios-linux-gtk-x86_64
and it fails to install any plugin with similar error.
so i install them manually by extracting into dropins directory. at least pydev and subclipse work fine after manual install

The same situation as when 3.5 was released. Was 1 year not enough to handle this problem?
