Hello,

I installed two different plugins. One is the JavaFx development plugin and the other is the Samsung Mobile development plugin. Both installs run correctly but after restarting I do not get a new perspective in the list.

What can I do? How do I start looking for problems?

Thanks

Error log view might be the right point to start looking for problems.
But before that, make sure those plugins contribute a new perspective.
There is no need that every plugin/product you install should contribute
a perspective

I am sure that the plug-in exposes a new perspective
(see http://innovator.samsungmobile.com/down/cnts/toolSDK.detail. view.do?platformId=12&cntsId=5040).

The log file does not result in anything that gives a hint.
I can post the log file after start-up if you like.

I do see the installed packages in the list of installed software (first tab) but noting in the plug-in-tab though, and no perspective in the list.

Do you have any other advice?

Thanks!

Another suggestion would be to restart with -clean. Then go to open
perspective>Other... Is it there?

The last thing you can check is Preferences>General>Capabilities, and
make sure they didn't provide a capability that's off.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for your response.
The -clean option did not help and for some reason I could not find the "Capabilities" node in the settings.

Though I did fix the issue.
I started over and this by first creating a new workspace.
When I switched to that workspace and installed the plug-in software again, I did get the perspective after restarting.
So maybe there is a conflict or problem with another plug-in in my "usual" workspace.

So,
- Issue solved for me.

Thanks
