I am adding a code folding to my ScriptEditor and want to do it right - follwoing the DLTK tutorial however leads me to methods which are deprecated and it is not entirely clear what the new correct approach is - could someone point me in the right direction?

I have actually bumped into several cases like that when following the DLTK tutorials - it is very clear that DLTK evolves and it is a great thing, but it would be really useful if each @deprecated tag had a link to Bugzilla item or a sentence or two outlining why the thing is deprecated and where to look for the non-deprecated solution. This would be much less work than keeping the tutorials up-to-date and would provide help "in-place"...
