I've just started using Mylyn on my project, and while I find focused mode and task context to be an absolutely wonderful new thing in my development routine, there's one thing that bugs me about the way the task context is displayed in package explorer.
I never find myself looking at the methods and variables that get added to my context (I prefer to keep my classes small, and it's more comfortable to look at the methods and variables in the editor, after I open a class). However, often after some time working with a task, package explorer becomes cluttered with methods and variables that have been added to the context.
Sure, I can fold the classes and continue working, but it's quite annoying, considering I never look at methods and variables in package explorer.
What I'd love is to either stop methods and variables from being added to the context, or just have package explorer keep classes folded. Either would make me love the context system much more, so I'm really hoping this is possible.
So, I'd like to ask the following question: is it possible to use focused mode and have package explorer unfold only down to displaying classes, and not automatically unfold them to show the fields of a class after I start editing it?
Thanks.

Great to hear that you like the task-focused interface. You could try hiding
members from the Package Explorer under Java > Appearance in the
preferences. There is no option to keep them collapsed but please feel free
to file a bug if hiding them is not sufficient for you.
