Job Description:

The EMC Documentum xCelerated Composition Platform (xCP) enables you to rapidly build and deploy case-based solutions at a lower cost and with fewer resources. Documentum xCP includes application composition and deployment tooling, best practices, and reference applications. It allows you to configure versus code, so you can deliver case-based applications faster and with greater agility. Key to the value of Documentum xCP is its unified modeling and composition tooling environment that provides enhanced collaboration between business and IT to ensure that the solutions implemented reflect actual business needs.

As a senior member of the xCP engineering team, this person will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the unified xCP tooling environment. This person must have a passion for developing easy-to-use, highly innovative tools that provide non-developers the ability to build and deploy complex case-based solutions rapidly.

Responsibilities:

• Define the architecture for tools that define and configure information models, business processes, business rules, services, e-forms, composable GUI, and data integration
• Provide technical leadership to other engineers in the xCP engineering organization
• Work with product management to define a set of world-class application composition and modeling tools
• Work collaboratively with other xCP architects to design, architect, and implement the overall application composition platform
• Work with quality assurance, technical publications, and customer support teams to ensure that delivered products exceed customers' expectations in delivering compelling features, usability, quality, and performance.

Skills:

• Experienced team leader and advanced hands-on coder
• Deep Eclipse RCP and plug-in as well as OSGi Framework knowledge
• Detailed knowledge of at least two standard composite application modeling constructs (XForms, EMF, BPMN, XPDL, ...)
• Strong server side development experience in Java
• Highly experienced in client-side web technologies and toolkits like AJAX, GWT, ExtJS, JavaScript, CSS, etc.
• Experience in J2EE Architecture and Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss)
• Experience with usability, look and feel, work closely with UI Designers - passion for developing functionally rich tools with an extreme emphasis on usability of the product
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written - technology and product evangelism is required of this position

Education/Experience:

• BS/MS/PhD in computer science or in a related field
• 10+ years professional software development experience delivering enterprise software products over multiple releases
• Experience developing Business Process Management (BPM), e-forms, and EAI/Middleware software products
• Experience with one or more BPM and Application Composition products like Pegasystems, IBM WebSphere, BEA AquaLogic, TIBCO, Adobe LiveCycle, Savvion, Lombardi, Appian, Sonic ESB
• Experience building software application framework tools highly desired
