Hey all,

Was wondering if there's anyone with GEF & iPhone SDK experience out there...

Would it be possible to port GEF to run on the iPad?!

Or is that just an insane idea?

Cheers,
Justin

Yeah, that would be great, wouldn't it? But: No Java no GEF. (Some
people would say: No Java no iPad ;-) ).

Cheers

Jens

If RAP adds GEF support in the future, it might be possible to get GEF support on the iPad through the browser. There was some discussion on rap-dev about GEF support a while back: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/rap-dev/msg00323.html

Cheers,
Fabian

I don't think GEF via the browser is workable for what I had in mind. That post is nearly two years old though! Has there been any progress since then? Also - from what I recall does a lot of advanced RAP widgets require Flash/Flex? Definite no go for the iPad.

Well I was thinking of a port to Objective C... Confused Anyone with Obj C experience care to comment on the (in)sanity of this?
