Hi!

I have the following Agggregator model:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<aggregator:Aggregator xmi:version="2.0" xmlns:xmi="http://www.omg.org/XMI" xmlns:aggregator="http://www.eclipse.org/buckminster/2009/aggregator" description="The aggregated update site for NBD" label="NBD" buildRoot="/temp/bmaggregator/build">
<configurations/>
<contributions label="NBD">
<repositories location="http://mysiteserver/core-site/dev" mirrorArtifacts="false" categoryPrefix="C">
<metadataRepository href="p2:http://mysiteserver/core-site/dev#//@metadataRepository"/>
</repositories>
<repositories location="http://mysiteserver/psd-site/dev" mirrorArtifacts="false" categoryPrefix="P">
<metadataRepository href="p2:http://mysiteserver/psd-site/dev#//@metadataRepository"/>
</repositories>
<repositories location="http://mysiteserver/psd-ncl-site/dev" mirrorArtifacts="false" categoryPrefix="PN">
<metadataRepository href=" p2:http://mysiteserver/psd-ncl-site/dev#//@metadataRepositor y"/>
</repositories>
</contributions>
<validationRepositories location="file:///C:/ccviews/psd_dev_1_2_30/NTP_NCD/src/RCP/RCP-RUN">
<metadataRepository href=" p2:file:///C:/ccviews/psd_dev_1_2_30/NTP_NCD/src/RCP/RCP-RUN #//@metadataRepository"/>
</validationRepositories>
<validationRepositories location="file:///C:/Temp/aggr/galileo-site/mirror/final">
<metadataRepository href=" p2:file:///C:/Temp/aggr/galileo-site/mirror/final#//@metadat aRepository"/>
</validationRepositories>
</aggregator:Aggregator>

This model builds fine in my Eclipse IDE.

When trying to build it using headless Buckminster I get the error below.
Any hints on why this fails?

I downloaded a new Buckminster 35. yesterday and have the following Aggregator jar files:
org.eclipse.buckminster.aggregator.engine.maven_1.0.0.r11191 .jar
org.eclipse.buckminster.aggregator.engine_1.0.0.r11068.jar
org.eclipse.buckminster.aggregator_1.0.0.r11090.jar

Thanks in advance.

/John.

Okay!

I peeked in the code at org.eclipse.buckminster.aggregator.engine.Builder.verifyCont ributions(Builder.java:1264). It seems like there may be a problem related to the path specified for the model file. This shouldn't of course give an NPE, but I may be able to continue.

So I tried to add a ./ in front of the file and got a new error as shown below. Now it doesn't like my target platform as a site. This, again, works fine in the Eclipse IDE?

What is the problem here?

Thanks.

/John.

Could you please enter both issues in the bugzilla? I'll try to fix them ASAP.

Thanks,
Filip

What does your TP folder contain? If there is no metadata file (content.xml or content.jar) present, it cannot be loaded as a repository, neither from IDE or from headless. Or am I missing something?

Hi Filip!

My TP folder dosen't conatin any metadata. It's just organized like an Eclipse installation with features and plugins folders.

I wondered if it would be usable as a validation repository, but as I have experienced it actually works in the Eclipse IDE. I can resolve it and the aggregated site can be build and used with a Buckminster headless build.

It only fails when I build it headless.

/John

If I remove the TP as a validation repository I can also build headless.

However, if I set the buildRoot to a relative path I get an error.
The documentation doesn't state that it should be an absolute path and I'd prefer if it doesn't have to be. In all other Buckminster commands I use, I can use relative paths.

Is it reasonable to enter a bug?

/John
