We have developed an Eclipsed based IDE, and what we need is a reliable way to provide performance monitoring fingerprints.
The following is a great example of what we like, used by Eclipse team: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.5.1- 200909170800/performance/performance.php
The idea is simple: as part of our build process, a use case must be executed like "Open a file in an editor, change some of its properties, save the file into the workspace, and validate the file". Metrics must be accumulated and published. Just in a similar way as the Eclipse team does.
Does anyone know how this is done ? Which tools are used by Eclipse team to execute a test, accumulate the data, and store the results on a web page like the llink above ?
