I'm having trouble viewing the history of any of my files in a CVS project. In short, I can't see it at all. Whenever I try to do a compare to history or view history, it brings up the history pane, but it's blank. I've tried a number of things, none of which have helped.

Thanks in advance Smile

I confirm the same problem. The strange thing is that if I recreate the workspace, cvs repository, import the project, then the show history works for a while, but after a period the problem reappears.

A co-worker of mine has the same problem. He's using Ubunt 9.10, too.
Anyone has any news on this?

Mauro.

"Link with editor" does not appear in the view. It's totally blank. If
you expand and then restore the History view, you see it has drawing
problems.

Can confirm this problem with Lucid Lynx fresh install and then installing eclipse through Ubuntu Software Center. Also was happening on Koala. Both local history and cvs history aren't visible even if linked with with the editor or right clicking -> Team -> Show History.

But if you download Eclipse from the web and install it the view history does work.

My co-worker switched from Ubuntu 9.10 to Debian Lenny and still has
this problem, even though he is using Eclipse downloaded from
Eclipse.org (and not installed through apt-get or such).

Therefore, the problem may be in GTK.

Just had the same problem (Galileo/Ubuntu 9.10)
I don't know how it happens but deleting the cvs dialog settings
(workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.team.cvs.ui/dialog _settings.xml) fixed the problem

I just opened https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=313480 to track the problem.

I can confirm that deleting the XML file fixed the problem. I am running eclipse 3.5.0 under Ubuntu 10.04.

Thanks for the post!

I was having this same issue on Fedora 13, and removing that file worked for me as well. Thanks so much.
