Avoid obstructions only seems to work on connections between toplevel nodes. The connections between elements in my compartments does not the avoid the other elements.

Digging a bit into the code, i found that objects not have a XYLayout Manager is ignored. Can anyone explain why this behaviour is correct, or is it a bug?

PS: My compartments are using an extension to the FlowLayout as a layoutmanager.
