Hi,
I've got a problem in setting parameters for operations in uml classes.
I use the newest plugins for emf, uml2.
Whenever I create an operation for a class in an uml class diagram and
want to set parameters for that operation, these parameters are not set
when written manually. When I choose the graphical way by right-clicking
the operation and choosing 'Manage parameters', the dialog 'Select
Parameters for Operation' pops up and shows me a list for parameters to
set. But I cannot choose a type for the parameter. Whenever I try to
choose a type an exception (Unhandled event loop exception) occurs and
nothing happens further (no dialog, no popup):
Here's Exception Stack Trace:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at
org.eclipse.emf.transaction.util.TransactionUtil.getEditingD omain(TransactionUtil.java:61)
at
org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.common.sheet.chooser.ReferencedElem entChooserDialog. <init>(ReferencedElementChooserDialog.java:49)
at
org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.common.parameter.celleditors.TypeDi alogCellEditor$ReferencedElementChooserDialogEx. <init>(TypeDialogCellEditor.java:69)
at
org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.common.parameter.celleditors.TypeDi alogCellEditor$1. <init>(TypeDialogCellEditor.java:44)
at
org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.common.parameter.celleditors.TypeDi alogCellEditor.openDialogBox(TypeDialogCellEditor.java:44)
at
org.eclipse.jface.viewers.DialogCellEditor$2.widgetSelected( DialogCellEditor.java:244)
....
...
..
I know there's already a bug report
Bug #282048 'Cannot specify Type in Operation Parameter dialog'
That was reported about half a year ago, and I've suggested it should be
fixed already...but probably I'm mistaken.
Maybe somebody could give me some advice what to do now, because I don't
want to patch my eclipse (I haven't ever done that before)
Thanks a lot for your help

BDE,
It's best to ask about UML tool support on the UML tools newsgroup,
which I've added to the to list of the reply.
