Using external console instead the eclipse integrated console [message #486871]

Hello!

I'm using CDT for c coding on my linux system. Is it possible to run my program in an external console (xterm) instead using the eclipse integrated version, because the eclipse-console makes some things different as a default linux console, e.g. ANSI escape sequences.
