JRE installation doesn't exist [message #483326] Tue, 01 September 2009 03:14 Go to next message

Hello

i am using the eclipse to write test cases to validate a system
and an error is appearing to me "the specified JRE installation doesn't exist"

Knowing that i made sure ,from the project preferences, that the desired JRE is installed and i ran another workspace with the same JRE and it works properly

So Could anyone tell me what are the other possibilities that may cause this problem ?

Thank.

I think the most likely cause is that the project was created and
defined to use a specific JRE name; when such a project is moved to or
checked out in another workspace, a JRE with that EXACT name must exist.
To avoid this problem, I always recommend choosing an Execution
Environment (EE) instead of a specific JRE. On any workspace, the
standard Execution Environments will all exist and be satisfied by the
JRE(s) that are defined for that workspace.

Hope this helps,
Eric
