Triggering Xpand and QVTO not from ANT script but from GMF runtime [message #481995]

I had a little dig around, a place to start looks like making my command
trigger org.eclipse.gmf.internal.xpand.ant.XpandFacade with the various
bits of data filled in...

Before I get too far along, wondering if that is the right approach?
Also any good examples/tips would be appreciated :)
