a forum or newsgroup for Sopera but a Sopera-icon in the Swordfish
slides. How is Swordfish and Sopera connected?

Hi Gilbert,
thank you very much for your interest in SOPERA, but I'm afraid this is not
the correct place to discuss any SOPERA-related issues.
I'm aware that there is some confusion around the relationship between
SOPERA and Swordfish, so I'm going to try and clarify the situation:
SOPERA GmbH is an open source company that develops, maintains and provides
support for an open source SOA solution called SOPERA ASF. SOPERA ASF is
based, among other things, on tools from various Eclipse projects, such as
WTP and STP. Community support for SOPERA ASF will be provided by the SOPERA
community platform which is soon to be launched. For the time being, please
contact SOPERA's customer service by email or the contact form on the
website in case you have any questions or issues regarding SOPERA ASF.
The Swordfish project is an open source project initiated by SOPERA and
hosted by the Eclipse Foundation. As of now, there is no direct relationship
between SOPERA ASF and Swordfish -- but this is going to change. The next
major release of SOPERA ASF will be based on Swordfish as the runtime core
framework and we're also committed to moving more and more bits and pieces
of SOPERA ASF into Eclipse. If you have questions, issues, suggestions etc.
regarding the Swordfish project, please don't hesitate to post them to this
newsgroup or the swordfish-dev mailing list.
I checked the statement on community support on our corporate website and I
agree that it can be interpreted as if SOPERA were providing product support
via the Eclipse newsgroups, which is not the case. Please accept my
apologies for any inconvenience this might have caused for you. I'm sure
that our helpful staff in the customer service division will be able to help
you.
Cheers,
Oliver
