Hi,
Any suggestions for how to best support both 32-bit and 64-bit JVMs (for
64-bit windows versions)? I think what would be ideal is to bundle both
32-bit and 64-bit versions of swt.jar and have some mechanism for
detecting if the java executable is is 64-bit or not so that the classpath
can be automatically set to the correct jar. Has anyone tried something
like this?
I could of course create two different bundles, but then users have to
know if their JVM is 32-bit or 64-bit. IMO it should be automatic.
I assume that this will get more relevant as 64-bit OSes become more
common, but my googling has not produced any good solutions so far. Not
even popular SWT apps like Azureus seem to support 64-bit. Maybe I'm the
only one who prefer to use a 64-bit JVM on my 64-bit Vista? :)
