Hello,
is there something similar to P2 Director application with simple GUI on
top of it?
I'd like to create an offline installer for my plugin. Installer would
bundle update site together with "P2 Director with GUI". This GUI would
allow user to select one or more target Eclipse-based product, and
install plugin into target product. GUI would also be able to search for
Eclipse-based products, e.g. using simple filesearch in "c:\program
files" or similar for .eclipseproduct.
My idea is to help users with plugin installation, because this is still
pretty advanced, and furthermore doesn't really work from product itself
if it requires admin-priviledges. Tool like this would 1) run with admin
priviledges, 2) easily install plugin + requirements into target product
(which P2 Director already can do).
Is there already something similar to this?
