Hi Lalith,
Should be possible as OOo states:
"Another feature of Openoffice.org that is attractive to Java developers
is the API that allows Java developers to treat Openoffice.org as
componentware ..."

Does this mean the OO provides APIs to manipulate the data.
For eg. Can we count the no of lines in a word document and give a pop up
to the user saying that no of lines in the word document is xxxx
thanks,

Thanks,
Following lists the doubts and problems I do have
1) I am doing a research work on the available Word processing tool done
in Java
2) Also I am going to develop the following on Windows platform kind of a
proof of concept
What am going to do is, develop a very primitive word processor using SWT.
For e.g users can inserts(input) texts and images(to a certain position)
and should be able to save
and reload with the same settings (positions). basically a primitive word
processor.
I am looking for answers for the item 2 above. I am ok with Item 1
Hope everything is clear now.
thanks
