Shift-F2 and SWT - where is it? [message #461744]

Hi,

Right-click on the swt.jar, then select Properties, in the Javadoc location
select the "Javadoc in archive" radio button and put the following in the
above edit boxes:
1'st edit box:
%ECLIPSE_HOME%\plugins\org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv_3.1.0\do c.zip
2'nd edit box: reference\api

Of course you need to replace %ECLIPSE_HOME% with your root directory of
installed Eclipse.

The Javadoc is online here, and you can give this URL in Eclipse:

http://help.eclipse.org/help31/nftopic/org.eclipse.platform. doc.isv/reference/api/

In the standalone SWT download on www.eclipse.org/swt/ this is now set
up by default when you import the project (SWT .zip 3.2M2 and newer), so
Shift-F2 should "just work". Let me know if you have problems.

See my other post for our fix in 3.2M2 and newer. The fact that it
wasn't set up by default was basically a bug (or a misfeature, we just
didn't have it set up right).

That said, SWT javadoc is linked to from the SWT homepage at
(www.eclipse.org/swt/).

Thanks Billy - Boby got there first. And it works fine (on a single test -
not the world's best statistical sample, but I'm involved in other things
at the moment).
