Association between tasks and tools [message #46426] Mon, 10 December 2007 22:26 Go to next message

Hello,

At the moment I'm evaluating the EPF Composer as tool for the
process-definition because of its modular character of the method
content. But during the implementation of a example-process I've
noticed, that the EPF Composer does not support an association between
tasks and tools, like it's mentioned the SPEM 2.0 specification. Now my
questions: Is this feature planed for a near-future release of the EPF
Composer? How complex is it to implement such an association into the
EPF Composer by myself?

Thanks a lot,
Andreas Pursche

Tools (Std Category) are the anchors for Tool Mentors (Guidance), which tell
how to use the tool for specific tasks and activities.

a) Create a Tool, then
b) add a Tool Mentor and tie them together.
c) Define the Task, and add the Tool Mentor as Guidance.
