Hi
I download the DTP1.6.0 extender sdk from
http://www.eclipse.org/datatools/downloads.php and extract it into my
plugins directory, but it seems doesn't work, there is no suitable
perspectives and views.
I notice that the Requirements for DTP1.6.0 is: Eclipse 3.3.2 SDK,
EMF 2.2.2 (EMF + SDO) and GEF 3.3, but it also notes as "Tested also
with Eclipse 3.4, EMF 2.4, GEF 3.4". then why can't i use it in ganymede?
my eclipse:
Eclipse SDK
Version: 3.4.0
Build id: I20080617-2000
(c) Copyright Eclipse contributors and others 2000, 2008. All rights
reserved.
Visit http://www.eclipse.org/platform
This product includes software developed by the
Apache Software Foundation http://www.apache.org/
is there something wrong?

Hi Rick...
There's a couple of ways you can go...
With Ganymede, if you grab the JEE package, you'll get DTP and its
dependencies installed automatically. Or if you grab the Eclipse Ganymede
SDK and go to the update site and grab DTP, you should get DTP and all its
dependencies installed from the update site.
Just to clarify, you're looking for a "Database Development" perspective?

Hi Fitz:
Thanks for your help!
sure, i mean "Database Development" perspective. I have ever tried
updated online before, i checked all items under package "ganymede --
Database Development", and grab DTP successfully, but i found that there
is no source code. I do grab the "Data Tools Platform Extender SDK" out,
it's description is "Binaries, API documentation and source zips for
DTP", but i can not find any dtp source but
" org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity.ui.templates_1.0.0.v20080 5152355 " in
my eclipse directory.
so i have to download the sdk package just mensioned in my last mail,
and i must attatch the source code to the downloaded package
manually.(define the source code locations of target platform preferences).
but now, i still don't know why there isn't source code after i grap
dtp online.
Truely appreciate!

Hi,
I'm also facing this problem. I added the source manually as you
mentioned.
But still I am not able find the source code of the SQLBuilder. I'm able
to see the source of other plugins like SQLEditor.
I think the plugin "Eclipse Datatools Source" doesn't have source code of
SQLBuilder plugin. or am I missing something?
Regards,
Hari
