All is in the question but some usefull info are:
OS=AIX
ARCH=PPC
WS=MOTIF

Eclipse SDK v3.0...

This is a bug, so I've logged
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=81868 . I tried to add you to
it as a CC but Bugzilla did not know your email address.

Ok, thanks.
So the workaround found is to use getAverageWith() instead ... because
it works in my case !!
